TOY SOLDIERS

At last I have finally got my hands on the latest issue of RANDOM (themed 'Warriors, Battlefields and Honour') this new East London born glossy that I have been contributing to for the past 2 issues, can be found on the shelves of the prestigious Selfridges magazine hall!
I am chuffed to say the least, not only is the magazine a fab mix of fashion, music and art but its also printed on damn nice paper.. something very important to us creative types!
I see great things for this new-bee, run by a young team of talented individuals who are also behind Random nights - a new east London club night in Shoreditch of course.  Thumbs up to Random magazine thank you for printing yet another fashion story of mine :))))  and well done team Harbour! Catherine my friend and super star snapper and Enzo hair and make up artist extraordinaire...Rachel (our gorgeous warrior) thank you for giving this story so much umph.. you are all amazing!

BEST OF BRITISH.

In an ideal world England would be sunny for more than a month of the year, giving us loads of time to show off our savoured Summer wardrobe...reality check that isn't going to happen!! but us Brits still seem to shine with our very own sense of quirky style and so with this in mind I bring you my 'Best of British' shoot...
Clothes not for a rainy day but just because.....
I always feel very lucky to work with such charming teams of creative people, so thank you Constantinos, Nikki, Danielle and of course Liis our blond beauty for giving up your lazy Sunday to make this shoot happen! And yes .. of course it was indeed raining that day!

DRINK SHOP DO

from left to right:- Dani's clay man with headphones, my Rabbit from wonderland, Gem's fruit basket

Ask me Why I heart London! cause on a nothing-y Saturday night in September armed with a couple of best pals and lots of girli gossip, you can find yourself in a quaint little tea shop a stones throw from Kings Cross playing with clay & sipping cocktails with 80's sounds of Lionel and Madge playing in the background! random maybe but lots and lots of fun....
DRINK SHOP DO is the brain wave of 2 school friends who thought up a simple concept that really works...by day a tea shop serving finger sandwiches, coke floats and homemade cakes and by night a mix of quirky crafty activities, music and alcohol.. genius i say!
check out their diary of events at http://www.drinkshopdo.com whether is making clay models of Mr Richie, knitting by night or rock n roll chocolate making, you ll love hanging out at this retro paradise and if you want to include your man they make a mean amaretto sour or mojito if sherbet dib daps are all too civilised!
oh and I nearly forget there s a old school selection of board games too including my fave Connect 4....Happy days :))

THE 3 WEEK MANICURE

I'd need to be convinced to spend £35 on a so called non chip, 3 week lasting manicure! (yeah right I'm thinking).. but proved wrong thanks to superstar nail technician Sara at Profile Nails, Daws Lane, Mill Hill, I am still admiring my metallic grey hand of beautiful chip-free nails 3 weeks later...in my opinion this GELISH manicure is defo the way forward...book an apt and see for yourself 0208 959 0512...and while you re there check out MINX nail art and add cute, quirky images to your nails like this nautical Anchor design below by Michelle.. keep on trend and mix it up every time..just make sure you re happy with your colour and design choice coz it ain't budging for a good 3 weeks! : )

COCO & IGOR.. simply stunning

If you ve seen Coco Before Chanel, I urge you to go see the follow on movie Coco & Igor..
7 years later this is the fascinating and complex tale of Coco Chanel & her secret love affair with Igor Stravinsky a Russian composer, set in the 1920's..Enjoy being swept up in the crazy yet intriguing life of one of the most talented and exceptionally unique designers of our time..
possibly not a must see movie for everyone, but for me, my admiration for this fashion legend and her tragic love story was perfect viewing for my Saturday night...that and a portion of chips n gravy! well when in Manchester.... ; )

MY VIRGIN SUICIDES

Inspiration is so important in our creative world...yes trends of the season will usually lead ideas for fashion stories but so can music, film and theatre...My latest offering was inspired by Sofia Coppola s haunting yet beautiful film, The Virgin Suicides..
on that note I bring you this stunning story shot by the incredibly talented Mofo...this is our interpretation of Summer Sisters...
